Turn down the midrange for a more scooped sound, or turn it up for tweed-era tones. With the midrange at noon, you get the original fixed-resistor value and standard tonal characteristics of the Deluxe. While preserving access to all the tones originally available with this channel, our model gives you something extra: a midrange control. We chose the Deluxe’s Normal channel for its round tone that plays well with pedals. At higher Drive settings it delivers an overdriven sound unique to its architecture. This amp is clean, bright, and mid-scooped, with plenty of headroom. The Deluxe is one of the most recorded amps in history for good reason.

So naturally I'm leaning towards Iridium stereo outs to all the gear listed to PA or interface.īut will the purity of the signal be degraded trying to run out of say the UA Reverbarator to mixer/PA? Interace? I'm not a fan of the Iridium TRS stereo in (would highly prefer two separate inputs). I'll be running: Strymon Mobius - Strymon Timeline - UA Golden Reverbarator and have the easy option to always have them cabled in stereo. BUT, if I'm using a real amp live I would normally put the entire board in front of the clean channel (I don't have time, energy or cables for complex 4CM or even using the FX loop most times live). Live with modeling to PA I normally put my time based FX - chorus, delay, reverb - AFTER my amp/cab. So using everything in front does make sense, but I can always go from board to audio interface and use headphones from the interface. I personally think the headphone out is fantastic (I know many disagree). I still think this is the best small/cheap-ish modeling solution out there, especially if the primary purpose it to use a well curated board into DI.īut, I always struggle with where to place the Iridium in the signal chain. Picked up yet another Strymon Iridium (have had it several times).
